Africa mCDR Partnership Launches New Research Initiative

The Africa Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal Partnership is pleased to announce the launch of a new multi-country research initiative focused on assessing marine CDR potential across the African continent.

This initiative brings together leading researchers from 12 African nations to conduct coordinated field assessments, develop shared methodologies, and build regional capacity for marine CDR research.

"This is a landmark moment for African marine carbon science," said the Partnership Secretariat. "By pooling our expertise and resources, we can accelerate our understanding of how Africa's oceans can contribute to global climate solutions."
